Diablo IV: Season 2 - Vampiric Powers and Pacts Explained

3 Different Vampiric Pacts can appear on Armor-Pieces

Diablo IV Season 2: The Season of Blood introduces New Vampiric Powers fueled by three Vampiric Pacts: Divinity, Eternity and Ferocity.
These pacts appear on every Armor Piece (Helm, Chest, Gloves, Pants and Boots).

Up to 5 Vampiric Pacts per Armor-Piece

Every armor piece can have up to 5 vampiric pacts in any combination of Divinity, Eternity and Ferocity.
The maximum number of pacts depends on the tier of the item:

Normal Gear with Vampiric Pacts

NORMAL: 15 PACTS

Sacred Gear with Vampiric Pacts

SACRED: 20 PACTS

Ancestral Gear with Vampiric Pacts

ANCESTRAL: 25 PACTS

Vampiric Pacts can be Reforged

Killing blood seekers or killing monsters in seasonal events like the blood harvest or will reward you with cleansing acids and pacts.
Those items allow you to add pacts to your gear or remove them. This way you can modify your gear to have the pacts needed to fuel your vampiric powers.

Use Pacts on your Gear to activate Vampiric Powers

Vampiric powers are grouped into minor and major powers. Minor powers require 1 to 3 pacts while major powers always require 6 pacts.
With a maximum of 25 pacts from ancestral gear we can potentially activate 4 major and one minor vampiric power.

While Channeling a Skill, you form a pool of blood beneath you. While channeling a skill in a pool, your Channeled Skills deal 40% increased damage and you gain 30% Damage Reduction. A pool can only form once every 8 seconds.

Blood Boil
When your Core Skills Overpower an enemy, you spawn 3 Volatile Blood Drops. Collecting a Volatile Blood Drop causes it to explode, dealing 60% Physical damage around you. Every 20 seconds, your next Skill is guaranteed to Overpower.

Call Familiar
Casting a Mastery, Weapon Mastery, Macabre, Wrath, or Imbuement Skill calls a bat ally to attack nearby enemies, dealing 80% Physical damage with a 30% chance to Stun.

Moonrise
Hitting an enemy with a Basic Skill grants you 4% Attack Speed for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Upon reaching maximum stacks, you enter a Vampiric Bloodrage, gaining 160% Basic Skill damage and 15% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.

Infection
Hitting enemies with direct damage infects them with Pox. Inflicting Pox 8 times on an enemy expunges their infection, dealing 70% Poison damage.

Upgrade Vampiric Powers

Vampiric Powers have three Levels: Level 1 to Level 3.
You can upgrade them by spending potent blood which is acquire d by doing seasonal activities in Diablo IV Season 2.
At this point we don't have any further information about potent blood.
