Seasonal & Eternal Firewall Sorcerer Level 1-100 Leveling Guide

Fast Firewall Sorcerer Level 1-100 Leveling Guide!

With our Firewall Leveling Guide we take Advantage of some new very strong leveling aspects we can use for our Sorcerer in Seasonal & Eternal.

Diablo IV Skill Firewall
Firewall

Firewall is the strongest Skill for Sorcerer Leveling. It is very easy to scale it's burn damage early on and it comes with a lot of free mana regeneration from Diablo IV Skill Wizard's Firewall Wizard's Firewall.

Hydra

Since Season 4, we can have 2 Hydras up instead of one. This makes hydra the most mana efficient skill early on! Furthermore, we can take advantage of new Life on Hit affix on items which gives us infinite life regeneration since hydras attack so many times!

Diablo IV Skill Hydra
Diablo IV Skill Fiery Surge
Fiery Surge

Fiery Surge gives us even more free mana regeneration making it a perfect fit for our build. Now since we have infinite mana regeneration and infinite life regeneration it's time to get rolling!

Watch the Video Guide!

This guide is available as a Video Guide on YouTube. It's a little less detailed than the written version, but if you don't need so many details, I'd recommend the Video Guide!

Before we start

Build Planners

The Build Planner is available on Mobalytics. There is 4 different Versions available. You can select those versions directly on Mobalytics or follow the Links you will find in this guide!

Stuff to look for

There is two things you want to find and start using as soon as possible:

  • Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Serpentine Aspect Serpentine Aspect - It's just extremely strong with early hydras!
  • Conjuration Augments Tempering Recipe: These usually drop pretty fast. As soon as you can temper extra Hydra Heads on your gear, do so. It's awsome and synergizes very well with your Lucky Hit!
  • Life per Hit: Any gear with Life per Hit makes your Earlygame Survivability ridiculously strong!
Extra Hydra Heads Tempering

Profane Mindcages

If you are playing on the Seasonal Realm, as soon as you reach World Tier III, you can stack these Mindcages up to 3 times.

If you have decent Life per Hit and some Maximum Life, you should have absolutely no Issues fighting Mobs 30+ Levels higher.

In Season 5 you will get the Full XP Bonus from Mobs which are 30 Levels above you, which will boost your XP to the moon!

Profane Mindcage

Legendary Aspects!

It will be random which Aspects you will get and how strong they are. In general, you don't want to imprint too many of them before reaching ~Level 40+.

Here is a list of very good Aspects for this build. The aspects are also in the build planner!

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Starlight Aspect Starlight Aspect

This is extremely overpowered together with Life on Hit and will greatly help your mana regeneration. Any roll of this Aspect will be worth

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Serpentine Aspect Serpentine Aspect

One of the strongest aspects we can find for this build. The aspect's roll does not matter at all and the additional Diablo IV Skill Hydra Hydra will give us a great damage buff as well as mana regeneration and movement speed from Diablo IV Skill Conjuration Mastery Conjuration Mastery.

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Aspect of Inner Calm Aspect of Inner Calm

This is a very solid damaging aspect. We will stand still a lot of the time making this a great aspect.

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Edgemaster's Aspect Edgemaster's Aspect

This is also a great damage buff. Due to Diablo IV Skill Wizard's Firewall Wizard's Firewall and Diablo IV Skill Fiery Surge Fiery Surge we are high on mana all the time.

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Conceited Aspect Conceited Aspect

Great overall damage buff a little later in the leveling phase. As soon as we get barrier from Diablo IV Skill Protection Protection and Diablo IV Skill Ice Armor Ice Armor, it's a great damage buff.

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Flamewalker's Aspect Flamewalker's Aspect

Just a nice little movement speed buff. Nothing game breaking but nice to have.

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Juggernaut's Aspect Juggernaut's Aspect

Will completely fix all your armor problems giving you a 85% Damage Reduction from physical damage!

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Aspect of Disobedience Aspect of Disobedience

Not as strong as Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Juggernaut's Aspect Juggernaut's Aspect, but still better than nothing!

Diablo IV: Legendary Aspect Aspect of the Protector Aspect of the Protector

Good way of getting some free barrier in early game.

Level 1 to 15: Helltide

We always Start at World Tier II Difficulty!

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 1-15).

Since Season 4 we can start leveling in Helltides right at level 1!

In World Tier II the main summoning events will most likely not very good xp since the bosses are way to hard to kill.

So, unless you can find a really good group to play the boss events with, you want to freely roam the Helltide and try to focus on the side events. Those are the Pillars, not the Waves of Darkness, etc.!

Helltide Side Event on Minimap Side event appears on the Minimap
Blood Pillar Side Event Blood Pillar Side Event
Fire Pillar Side Event Fire Pillar Side Event
Elixir or Resource Elixir of Resource

Also look out for the Elixir of Resource. It is extremely powerful early. You can find it in Helltides, but you can also just pick up some herbs along your way and craft one of these the first time you get to town.

Items
Don't waste too much time looking at loot!

From ~Level 8 onwards we will only pick up Rare Items.

We are looking for the highest damage Two-Handed Staff.

Other than that, we just look for gear with Life on Hit and Resource on kill.

Level 15: Unlock Tempering & Fireball Enchantment

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 15-35).

Tempering

At level 15 we unlock tempering. Let's port to Diablo IV: Waypoint Kyovashad Kyovashad. Thankfully, next to the Blacksmith, there is a chest containing our first tempering recipe "Natural Finesse"

With the recipe, we will temper the "Natural Finesse" onto our Weapons, Rings, Gloves and Amulet.

Don't minmax here! We will replace this gear very fast. Any result other than Damage to Crowd Controlled is fine!

Enchantment Quest

It's time to unlock our Diablo IV Skill Fireball Enchantment Fireball Enchantment.

Simply head to the quest location, finish the quest. After that we do a little respect to use our Diablo IV Skill Fireball Enchantment Fireball Enchantment:

We remove Diablo IV Skill Flickering Arc Lash Flickering Arc Lash and also take out 3 points from Diablo IV Skill Arc Lash Arc Lash.

Then we put 2 point into Diablo IV Skill Fireball Fireball, 1 point into Diablo IV Skill Enhanced Fireball Enhanced Fireball and the last point into Greater Fireball.

Last but not least we chose the Diablo IV Skill Fireball Enchantment Fireball Enchantment in our first enchantment slot!

Level 15 to 35: More Helltide

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 15-35).

At level 30, don't forget to choose Diablo IV Skill Firewall Enchantment Firewall Enchantment as your second enchantment.

We are back to Helltide until we hit Level 35. We do the same than before, most likely focus on the side pillar events unless you find a good group summoning the main bosses.

If you are comfortable not dying, save your cinders until the end of the Helltide. The chest XP scales with your level, so you want to hang on to your cinders for as long as possible!

Don't forget to keep your Elixir of Resource up at all times! It is extremely powerful early. You can find it in Helltides, but you can also just pick up some herbs along your way and craft one of these the first time you get to town.

Pick up all Legendary Items. We equip good Legendary Items!

We are looking for the highest damage Two-Handed Staff.

Other than that, we just look for gear with Life on Hit, Maximum Life and Resource on kill.

Level 35: Capstone Dungeon "Cathedral of Light"

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 15-35).

The Capstone Dungeon Diablo IV: Dungeon Cathedral of Light Cathedral of Light is not very difficult. Due to our overpowered Life on Hit and Diablo IV Skill Hydra Hydra combo, as long as we have a big enough life pool, stuff will not be able to kill us!

If we get a little more than ~1000 Life and ~2500 Armor we are going to be completely fine. Also, it helps to socket some Skulls in your jewelry, and also some Rubies in your armor if you have the sockets.

So, let's teleport to Diablo IV: Waypoint Kyovashad Kyovashad, do some more tempering like we did before and then move to the dungeon.

Also, here is a video showing the Capstone Dungeon with Level 30 even earlier. I would still recommend to wait for level 35 because you will be able to use the Sacred Items directly.

Skills

For the Capstone Dungeon, switch from Diablo IV Skill Fireball Enchantment Fireball Enchantment to Diablo IV Skill Hydra Enchantment Hydra Enchantment.

Also switch from Diablo IV Skill Mage's Firewall Mage's Firewall back to Diablo IV Skill Wizard's Firewall Wizard's Firewall.

Also, if you feel like it, you can redistribute the Extra Fireball Points into Devastation and Diablo IV Skill Elemental Dominance Elemental Dominance.

Remember to switch all this stuff back after the dungeon!

Level 35 to 55: You guessed it - Helltide!

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 35-60).

We are now doing Helltides in World Tier III. Now we can focus a little more on the Main Helltide Summoning Events since there are going to be more and stronger players taking down the bosses.

Make sure to Stack your Profane Mindcages 3 Times from here on!

However, if there's not enough action, still go back to freely roaming the Helltide and look for the pillar events.

If you are comfortable not dying, save your cinders until the end of the Helltide. The chest XP scales with your level, so you want to hang on to your cinders for as long as possible!

Paragon

Make sure to head to the "Burning Instinct" Paragon Node as soon as possible. After getting "Burning Instinct", just pick the damage and armor nodes as detailed in the Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 35-60).

Items

Pick up all Legendary Items. We equip good Legendary Items!

We are looking for the highest damage Two-Handed Staff.

Level 55: Capstone Dungeon "Fallen Temple"

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 35-60).

The Capstone Dungeon Diablo IV: Dungeon Fallen Temple Fallen Temple is not very difficult. Due to our overpowered Life on Hit and Diablo IV Skill Hydra Hydra combo, as long as we have a big enough life pool, stuff will not be able to kill us!

Here's is some stats go get you through the dungeon just fine:

  • ~3000+ Life
  • ~5000+ Armor
  • Try to max Fire Resistance - You need 1 Stat on Gear and maybe some Rubies in Jewelry.

So, let's teleport to the Diablo IV: Waypoint Hidden Overlook Hidden Overlook Waypoint, and move to the dungeon.

Also here is a video showing the Capstone Dungeon with ~Level 50. I would still recommend to wait for level 55 because you will be able to use the Ancestral Items directly.

Skills

Before the final boss, switch from Diablo IV Skill Fireball Enchantment Fireball Enchantment to Diablo IV Skill Hydra Enchantment Hydra Enchantment.

Also switch from Diablo IV Skill Mage's Firewall Mage's Firewall back to Diablo IV Skill Wizard's Firewall Wizard's Firewall.

Remember to switch all this stuff back after the dungeon!

Level 55 to 100: Helltide!

You can always find the full build planner here: Build-Planner on Mobalytics (Level 35-55).

We are now doing Helltides again in World Tier IV. Depending on how far we are into the season, the Main Helltide Summoning Events might be the place to go.

However, if there's not enough action, still go back to freely roaming the helltide and look for the pillar events.

Basically, we play until about Level 100 just to get ourselves some good gear and an Item Level 925 Two-Handed Staff as well as the Aspects we need so we can start Pit Farming.

I do not recommend to start nightmare dungeons early. You will end up getting back to Helltide Farming at some point anyway. I would highly suggest doing the Nightmare Dungeons for the Glyphs later, when you have a speedy build and you can finish those in 2-3 Minutes.

Other than that, we just look for gear with Life on Hit, Maximum Life, Intelligence and Attack Speed

A New Build?

I would recommend to switch to Diablo IV Skill Blizzard Blizzard Build somewhere around Level 70. It just does better Damage and is more relaxed to play.

You can use my Budget Diablo IV Skill Blizzard Blizzard Guide from this point, it will also take you into Pit and Nightmare Dungeons Later.

You can find my Low Budget Blizzard Build Guide here.

Level 100: Pit Farming into Nightmare Dungeons

At this point, if you did not switch to Diablo IV Skill Blizzard Blizzard yet, I highly recommend doing so.

You can find my Low Budget Blizzard Build Guide here.

So, after doing any Tier 45 Nightmare Dungeon to unlock the Pit, lets port to Diablo IV: Waypoint Cerrigar Cerrigar and enter the Pit!

You want to farm the Pit up to like ~Level 50. Farm enough Masterworking Materials to Upgrade your boots to 8/12 and Make sure they have a good amount of Movement Speed.

Also make sure to Temper Movement Speed on your Amulet, and Masterwork it to 8/12.

All other Gear you can just Masterwork to 4/12.

After this you will have enough damage and Movementspeed to Speedrun level 90+ Nightmaredungeons and updated your Glyphs much faster than on low level Gear.
